Creative Writing Workshop
with Kellianna and Kaalii Cargill
Sunday, July 16, 2017
In Wendell Massachusetts
Address given with confirmed registration
Writing our stories – real life stories and tales of fiction – involves skills that can be learned. Join us in this adventure . . .
Kellianna and Kaalii collaborated to write The Warrior Queen Chronicles, a fantasy trilogy based on Kellianna’s much-loved song, Warrior Queen. Book One – Tapestry of Dark and Light – was released in 2016, and Book Two is due Fall 2017. In this workshop, Kellianna and Kaalii share their process of writing a book together and also teach practical ways to bring your own story to life.
Come and explore:
The place where stories come from.
Letting the story speak.
Dreaming as storytelling.
Listening to the body.
Kellianna is an American Neo-Celtic singer and songwriter internationally renowned for her powerful performance of song and chant inspired by myth, magic, sacred places, and ancient times. With her primal drumming, soaring vocals, and magical lyrics she brings to life the stories and sagas of the Gods and Goddesses.
Kaalii is an Australian writer, artist, and psychotherapist. Kaalii writes fiction and non-fiction that asks “What if . . .?” Like Kellianna, her work is inspired by myth, magic, sacred places, and ancient times. Her publications include six books, a co-edited anthology of Goddess related writing and art, and numerous short stories and essays. She has won awards for her writing and is a graduate of the six week Odyssey Writing Workshop.

Regarding Lodging at the Retreat:

The sleeping space for this retreat is in the Main Lodge, which is our home base for the retreat. Everyone brings their air mattress, cot or bedroll, (there are a limited number of foam mattresses available) and grabs a spot. For those who would prefer private space, there are cabins available. These cabins are very reasonably priced. The cabin rentals are at your own expense, as the retreat price includes lodging in the Main Lodge. Anyone who wants to rent a cabin as a single or as a group must contact Temenos directly at: 413-367-9779
There are several tent sites available right around the lodge for those who may want to enjoy sleeping out of doors, or for those who require more privacy for sleeping. The lodge is big and beautiful with some screened in porch space outside for sleeping under the stars, or inside the lodge where there are many spaces to set up your air-mattress. If you are flying in to attend and cannot pack an air mattress and bedding, both can be provided for you. Please provide us with any dietary restrictions. The landscape is wooded and may be difficult to maneuver for anyone who is mobility impaired. From the parking lot to the lodge requires a short walk on a footpath, bags must be carted. There will be assistance to all who need help bringing in their gear.
Temenos is a "Device Free Zone". No laptops, no cell phones allowed in the lodge. No service anyway!
Temenos is completely off the grid. Gravity fed water system with camp style showers (quick in and out!), composting toilets for solid waste, and plenty of woods for peeing...this should not make a warrior squeamish!
It isn't Princess Camp!
